American Academy of Optometry Foundation announces the 2017 Fredric Rosemore Low Vision Grant Recipient

ORLANDO, FL (September 28, 2017) The American Academy of Optometry Foundation (AAOF) in collaboration with the Fredric and Marion Rosemore Family Foundation announce the 2017 recipient of the Fredric Rosemore Low Vision Educational Grant.

Ava K. Bittner, OD, PhD, FAAO, Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry will receive a grant for her project, “Tele-rehabilitation to provide expanded opportunities for low vision clinical training”, which is intended to increase interest and inspire excellence in the field of low vision. The grant is designed to enable institutions to provide care, support personnel, or provide equipment directly related to the field of low vision.

Dr. Bittner will be honored at the AAOF Celebration Luncheon during the American Academy of Optometry’s Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
