Welcome to the Submission Guide for the Scientific Program Academy 2013 Seattle. To make a submission you will need to log in with your current AAO account or create a new account.

The window for submission is: May 1st-31st.

The abstract title is limited to 150 characters. Your total submission cannot exceed 2200 characters. All entered characters in the abstract, default subtitles such as “Purpose”, “Methods”, etc. and names/affiliations of authors and coauthors are included in the total character count. Special tags, if used, will be included in the character count as well.

Authors are permitted a maximum of two first-author presentations within the scientific program. Any combination of paper or poster presentations are permitted, however, no more than two first-author submissions will be accepted. There is no limit to the number of co-authored submissions, e.g. authors may be listed as second, third, or other position on any number of submissions.

Upon making your final submission, you should receive an email within 24 hours confirming that your submission was received. If you do not receive an email, you should consider your submission incomplete.

This year, the Scientific Program Committee will present focused sessions on special topics that will include, extended discussion, integration of clinical topics, and debate on current controversies. We are soliciting original research and clinical case report submissions on the following special topics:
