AFOS - The AOA's 12th largest affiliate will convene its 43rd annual meeting. The venue will provide information and an opportunity to discuss issues and provide continuing education for optometrists in all branches of federal service (Department of Veterans Affairs, Army, Navy, Air Force, Public Health Service, and Civil Service).
This year will include breakout sessions for all members with their individual service CEOs, the general membership reception, the annual business meeting by the officers and council members at large, the AFOS president?s reception, and continuing education by our nation?s finest lecturers. AFOS welcomes all potential members to register as guests and join us for our conference.

Ocular Nutrition Society
"Boston's Best: A New England Approach to Nutrition Science for Ocular Health"
October 11, 2011 9 AM - 4 PM, followed by the wildly popular "Cabernet, Chocolate and Chatter" meet and greet the speakers social hour

Optometric Council on Refractive Technology (OCRT)

The OCRT's 8th Annual Refractive Technology symposium is held the day before Academy 2011 Boston. The brightest minds in refractive and cataract surgery will discuss the latest technology and trends in patient care featuring case studies on complicated and unusual cases. The meeting also includes presentations on the most recent research in refractive technology. The meeting is interactive, providing a unique forum to share your ideas, thoughts, and experiences with your colleagues. Eight hours of COPE approved CE will be awarded to attendees. The registration fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
