NEW STUDENT MEMBERSHIP FEE STRUCTURE
The Academy is excited to announce a new fee structure for student dues. Optometry or vision science students receive Academy membership for their entire student career for a one time fee of $30. Current student members, once you have paid your 2010 dues, your dues will be covered until you graduate!

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA HOSTS TWO BIG CONFERENCES IN ONE WEEK
World class destination, Durban, South Africa, will be the host of another major event in 2010. For the first time the World Congress of Refractive Error (WCRE) and the Sixth World Conference on Optometric Education (WCOE6), will run consecutively over one week in the stunning seaside location.
The two conferences will start with WCRE, hosted by the International Centre for Eyecare Education in association with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (September 20-22, 2010) and conclude with WCOE6 (September 22-24, 2010) hosted by the World Council of Optometry. The two events will overlap for one dynamic afternoon and dinner event which promises to provide unprecedented networking and industry exchange.
