Scholarship: A Practical Guide to Enhance Faculty Success, sponsored by the Optometric Education Section

Success as an optometric educator is often measured by the quality and quantity of scholarship produced. Although optometric faculty are often comprised of skilled clinicians, devoted teachers and highly motivated individuals, most lack formal training in areas related to scholarship. This disconnect can often impact a faculty members? professional development and retention. The purpose of this symposium is to educate and increase awareness of opportunities related to scholarship. Additionally, the symposium will provide practical guidance to help faculty achieve success.
