Abstract The purpose of this Grand Rounds is to inform and educate low vision specialists and general optometrists on the implications and management of vision loss in highly trained, vocationally successful individuals, in this case, accomplished physicians. Rehabilitation in individuals with high visual demands creates challenging management due to an inability to restore sight, high expectations, and often being far from their rehabilitation ceiling. Three cases studies will include a discussion on published research on LVR physicians predicting rehabilitation success and LVR outcomes from clinical studies.
