Bert C. and Lydia M. Corwin Contact Lens Residency Award

Intended to promote the practice and development of the field of Contact Lenses by providing incentive and support to talented optometric residents who demonstrate a passion and commitment to practice, research, and education. $2,000 plus one $750 travel fellowship to attend the Academy meeting is provided.

One award is granted to any optometrist currently serving in the 2016-2017 academic year calendar contact lens residency through a North American school or college of optometry.

American Academy of Optometry Foundation

Douglas W. Hopkins Primary Care Residency Award

Designed to promote the practice and development of the field of Primary Care Optometry by providing incentive and support to talented optometric residents who demonstrate a passion and commitment to practice, research, and education in primary care. $2,000 plus one $750 travel fellowship to attend the Academy meeting is provided.

One award will be granted to an optometrist currently serving in a 2016 – 17 academic year calendar Primary Care/family practice residency through a North-American school, college of optometry or veterans administration facility is eligible to apply.

Terrance N. Ingraham Pediatric Optometry Residency Awards

Intended to promote the practice and development of the field of Pediatric Optometry by providing incentive and support to sustain talented optometric residents who demonstrate a passion and commitment to practice, research, and education in the field of children's vision. $2,000 plus one $750 travel fellowship to attend the Academy meeting is provided.

Two awards will be granted to optometrists currently serving in a 2016 -17 academic year calendar advanced practice pediatric/vision therapy residency program through a North-American school or college of optometry may apply.

Intended to promote the practice and development of the field of low vision by providing incentive and support to sustain talented optometric residents who demonstrate a passion and commitment to practice, research, and education. $2,000 plus one $750 travel fellowship to attend the Academy meeting is provided.

One award will be granted to an optometrist currently serving in a 2016-17 academic year calendar advanced practice low vision residency program through a North-American school or college of optometry may apply.

Intended to promote the practice and development of the field of contact lenses by providing incentive and support to sustain talented optometric residents who demonstrate a passion and commitment to practice, research, and education. $2,000 plus one $750 travel fellowship to attend the Academy meeting is provided.

Two awards will be granted to optometrists, currently serving in a 2016-17 academic year calendar advanced practice contact lens residency program through a North-American school or college of optometry may apply.

All 2017-18 Residents (except for Contact Lens Residents) are eligible to apply for the Allergan Travel Fellowships.

Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies Resident Travel Fellowship

$750 travel fellowship to attend the Academy annual meeting. Sponsored by Cooper Vision.

All 2017-2018 cornea and contact lens, or refractive surgery residents who provide direct patient care are encouraged to apply.
