PROGRESSIVE HYPEROPIA IN A POST RK PATIENT EXHIBITING INTER-INCISION VACUOLES

Richard Hareychuk

Abstract

A post radial-keratotomy patient who underwent the procedure in Acapulco. Subsequent to the procedure, a significant amount of "hyperopic drift" took place. Biomicroscopy revealed interincision vacuoles which in turn caused the wound to expand and the cornea to flatten. To date these cyst-like vacuoles have yet to be identified in scientific journals. Photographs will accompany the case report.
