American Academy of Optometry Foundation is pleased to announce the 2020 Johnson & Johnson Vision Residency Award Recipients

ORLANDO, FL (August 27, 2020) – The American Academy of Optometry Foundation (AAOF) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 Johnson & Johnson Vision Residency Awards.

Sheldon Wechsler Contact Lens Residency Award
Rosa Yawen Yang, OD
University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science

George W. Mertz Contact Lens Residency Award
Mari Fujimoto, OD
Pacific University College of Optometry

Stephanie Gee, OD, MPH
Indiana University School of Optometry

These residency awards support post-graduate advanced training in optometric clinical care, education, and research methods specific to the fields of children’s vision and contact lenses. The 2020 residents were carefully chosen by peer review members from the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses & Refractive Technologies, and the Binocular Vision, Perception and Pediatric Optometry Section. Each recipient will receive a $2,000 award toward their graduate education.

The AAOF is once again thankful for the professional relationship between the Foundation and Johnson & Johnson Vision. Their continued support advances the caliber of optometric education.
